Old Modernians - Cricket

Oulton won the toss and batted, making only steady progress against Borrill, Delaney, Baker and Matt Walker before being blasted out of the competition by an on-song Ants Harrison.

With only 128 required for victory in 40 overs there was little need to rush and the innings was well paced throughout but the injection of four sixes from Jimmy Baker ensured a successful concusion with 10.2 overs and 5 wickets to spare.

Mods' 6th wicket pair of Baker & Mandrekar added an unbroken 55 in only 30 minutes.

Mods: Batting: Jimmy Baker 65 not out, Ami Manndrekar 21 not out, James Walker 21. 

           Bowling: Ants Harrison 4-20, Matt Walker 2-34, Jimmy Baker 1-20, Shaun Delaney 1-28, Stu Borrill no wickets but bowled his 8 overs for only 13 runs.

My personal choice Man of the Match is Jimmy Baker for his unbeaten 65, one wicket (for 20 runs off 8 overs) and one catch.
